Nestled in the fertile plains of central Vietnam, Quang Tri province boasts a unique treasure: Quang Tri organic rice. Cultivated with meticulous organic methods, this rice transcends the ordinary, offering a taste of purity, sustainability.
Quang Tri’s farmers have been cultivating organic rice since 2017, adhering to rigorous standards throughout the process. From preparing the soil to harvesting, they strictly avoid using pesticides, chemical fertilizers, genetically modified seeds, artificial flavors, preservatives, or chemical bleaching agents.
Quang Tri’s organic rice farming is flourishing, producing an impressive yield of 5.5-6 tons of rice per hectare. With over 200 hectares dedicated to certified organic rice cultivation, the province is making substantial progress in sustainable agriculture.
In early 2023, 15 tons of organic rice from Quang Tri farmers were successfully exported to the European market, marking a significant milestone for the province’s agricultural sector. This achievement demonstrates the high quality of Quang Tri’s organic rice and its potential to compete in the global market.
Quang Tri is a coastal province near the southernmost part of the North Central Coast region, the Central of Vietnam, north of the former imperial capital of Huế. It borders Quang Binh to the north, Thua Thien Hue to the south, Savannakhet of Laos to the west and the East Sea to the east, with 75 kilometres (47 mi) of coast.

Briet black rice is a unique and rare variety of rice cultivated by the Ê Đê people in the Dak Lak province of Vietnam. This prized rice boasts a black color and is packed with exceptional nutritional value.
