The victorious immortal returned to the heavens, leaving the defeated one behind to ponder his loss. Despite his efforts to find a solution, he remained stuck. In commemoration, the locals erected a stone chessboard, accompanied by a statue of the pensive immortal, naming the mountain peak Ban Co, or Chessboard Peak.
