Weather tips

On sunny days:

Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the heat. The open spaces around the pagoda can get quite sunny, so staying hydrated is important. You can bring your own water or grab a drink from one of the refreshment stands inside the pagoda grounds.

On rainy days:

Pack a lightweight raincoat or umbrella to stay dry, as the area can get slippery. Comfortable, non-slip shoes are a must, especially if you plan to explore the gardens and walkways.

When you’re visiting Linh Ung Pagoda, it’s a good idea to wear shoes that are easy to slip off, since you’ll need to take them off when entering the more sacred areas, like the main hall. Transportation tips

You can use an automatic scooter to get to the pagoda, but note that automatic scooters aren’t allowed to access some other attractions on Son Tra Peninsula, like the Thousand-Year-Old Banyan Tree or Ban Co Peak. If you plan to visit these places after the pagoda, it’s better to choose a semi-automatic scooter instead.

Also, make sure to check your fuel tank, as there are no gas stations on the peninsula. It’s a good idea to inspect your tires to ensure they are properly inflated, as there are no air pumps available. Don’t forget to check the brakes as well, since the roads include some steep areas.

This sign is located at the foot of Son Tra Mountain and indicates that automatic scooters are prohibited 9 kilometers ahead. This means you can still use an automatic scooter to reach Linh Ung Pagoda, which is only 3 kilometers from the foot of the mountain, as well as at places like Rock Beach and Ghenh Bang Beach. However, certain spots, such as the Ancient Banyan Tree (Cay Da Ngan nam) and Mui Nghe (Nghe Cape), do not allow automatic scooters.

It’s a good idea to bring some Vietnamese cash with you. At Linh Ung Pagoda, parking is free, but for other attractions on Son Tra Peninsula, you’ll need to pay for parking. Also, if you plan to buy drinks or snacks, some shops may not accept card payments, so having cash on hand can be useful.

Monkey spotting tips

Monkeys can appear in the Linh Ung Pagoda area, but the most common spots to see them are along the coconut trees about 5km away from the pagoda and near the entrance of the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, which is around 8km from the pagoda.
